"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers

for thereby some have entertained

   angels unawares."

Hebrews 13:2

Wisteria is located at one of the most prestigious addresses in the heart of the historic district on tree canopied Fifth Avenue at Seventh Street. It was built in 1900 of cypress and local heart pine for one of Laurel's founding fathers, Silas Gardiner, an owner of Eastman-Gardiner Lumber Company, Laurel's oldest and largest sawmill. Wisteria is one of the first and finest homes built on Fifth Avenue and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a pivotal structure.  Wisteria was included in an article in the Mississippi Magazine.
